Classification and Installation Methods of Household Dishwashers

A household dishwasher is a machine suitable for washing household products such as dishes, utensils, and cutlery. They can be classified into two types based on the washing method: spray arm dishwashers and impeller dishwashers. Dishwashers combine washing, disinfecting, and drying into one process and can thoroughly kill bacteria. Compared to traditional handwashing, they are easier, cleaner, and more hygienic.

I. Classification of Household Dishwashers

There are many types of household dishwashers with different functional structures. Below are some of the most common types found on the market:

(1) Full-automatic Household Dishwasher

Due to the unique washing method and washing environment of small full-automatic dishwashers, they have good sterilization and antibacterial functions. Common bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus can be eliminated when kept at 60℃ for 20 minutes. Viruses that are not easily killed by high temperatures, such as hepatitis B, can be thoroughly removed through repeated flushing and drainage. In addition, the detergent itself has a good inhibitory effect on various bacteria.

(2) Ultrasonic Dishwasher

Small ultrasonic dishwashers use oblique insertion washing and hot air drying. They are characterized by small footprint and low power consumption and are mainly suitable for small tableware disinfection centers, hotels, and guesthouses. Because ultrasound can penetrate solid substances and cause the entire liquid medium to vibrate and generate cavitation bubbles, this cleaning method does not have any dead corners and has been proven to achieve high cleanliness.

(3) Spray Arm Dishwasher

During the dishwashing process, small spray arm dishwashers mechanically scrub the surface of tableware with high-temperature and high-pressure water jets. The detergent saponifies and decomposes oil stains and residues on the surface of the tableware, and the hot water soaks and expands the food residues, quickly decomposing and removing oil stains, residues, and food residues from the surface of the tableware, restoring its cleanliness and brightness.

When choosing a household dishwasher, you can select one based on the type of dishwasher machine, washing principle, its own washing characteristics, and the actual situation and personal preferences of your family, which can bring you more comfortable living and convenience.

II. Installation of Household Dishwashers

Different types of household dishwashers have different installation methods, and the volume of household dishwashers is still quite large. Electrical and water supply installations are also required. Household dishwashers can be divided into two categories: the first is for those who have finished renovating their kitchens and have not reserved a dishwasher location, they can purchase a stand-alone dishwasher; the second is for those who have not renovated their kitchens or plan to do a major renovation, they can purchase an integrated or semi-integrated dishwasher. Simply put, a stand-alone dishwasher can be placed on the countertop or anywhere else convenient, while a semi-integrated dishwasher is built into the cabinet and has the dishwasher door as its cabinet door. An integrated dishwasher is built into the cabinet, and an additional layer of cabinet door surface is added to the outside of the dishwasher door. When installing a household dishwasher, the following requirements should be noted:

(1) Household dishwashers should be installed in areas with water and electricity supply;

(2) The installation position of the household dishwasher should be stable, and the inclination angle should not exceed 2 degrees;

(3) Connect the water inlet pipe and the drain pipe, tighten the pipe joint, connect the supplied water inlet pipe with the water inlet pipe on the fuselage, insert the elbow into the drain pipe, and insert the pipe holder into the back cover. Connect the inlet hose to the faucet and place the drain elbow at the sink or drain.
